In this class, we practice a gentle style of yoga designed to relax, restore, and rejuvenate the body, mind, and spirit. We use pranayama (breathwork), dhyana (meditation), asana (posture), and sometimes mantra (sound & frequency) to relax the body and mind, regulate the nervous system, and release physical, mental, emotional, and energetic blockages and tension. The versatile use of yoga props such as blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets is encouraged and demonstrated in order to cultivate comfort and proper alignment throughout the practice. Some mats and props will be provided by the instructor and students are also welcome to bring their own for personal use.
