A public hearing will be conducted for informing citizens and soliciting public input, written or oral, regarding the Water Treatment System Improvements Needs Assessment (PNA) and Categorical Exclusion (CatEx). The PNA is a report detailing the project as proposed, including project necessity, alternatives, and components. The PNA also describes how the project is being funded. The reports are being submitted to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to qualify Baca Grande Water & Sanitation District for a State Revolving Fund Loan, in the amount of $750,000.
The project includes installation of a bulk water fill station, modifications to increase treated water pumping capacity at Well 17 & 18, and rehabilitation of the Mobile Home Estates Well, tank and treatment facility. The project is estimated to cost $1.5 million. Base rate increases related to this project are estimated to total $2 or less.
