HS Boys Basketball ends
After a tough 73-39 playoff loss against the Stratton Eagles the Moffat Cowboys season officially comes to an end. The Cowboys finished their season with a 13-8 record while also qualifying for the Colorado Regional Playoff. Over the course of the past four years the Moffat Cowboys have qualified twice for Regionals; the last time Moffat schools has done so was more than twenty years ago.
This is a feat that should be acknowledged along with the five seniors who will be graduating. Players such as Robert Morley, Ziah Pesqueira, Noble Cole, Riley Heater, and Jacob Martinez are those who will be parting ways with the team.
Although the loss of seniors will be hard. This team has a lot of young talent, confidence and enthusiasm for future years.
HS and MS Track Begins
High School and Middle track takes off this month. Moffat athletes will kick off the 2024 track season after returning from spring break. Athletes are more than excited to begin a new season and are ready to start working to become better.
The season spans April and May with weekly meets and practices. There will be many new opportunities and challenges along with new chances to learn and improve. There is no doubt that athletes will try hard and more importantly have fun.
