Quotes to vote

“We in America do not have a government by the majority — we have government by the majority who participate…All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”

~ Thomas Jefferson

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan advised voters to vote their conscience in the 2016 election.

Election turnout has been below 100%. The 2024 election will determine the health of America’s government. Consider the aftermath of the 2020 election. On Jan. 6, 2021, our elected officials held to their constitutional duties, thwarting off a tyrannous foothold.

Our constitution has been defined as a living document. Our country’s presidents have been glorious in unifying the nation to combat any threat, foreign or domestic, that attempts to eradicate the governing laws of America’s democracy.

“Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting.”

~ Franklin Delano Roosevelt

The quotes stated are from U.S. Presidents with a common interest – to protect and preserve freedom. This began with the Declaration of Independence.

“The power under the Constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted…to representatives of their choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interests, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can and undoubtedly will be recalled…Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair.”  ~ George Washington
