Dear editor,
I am writing to you today to express my full support for Adam Kinney’s candidacy for County Commissioner, District 1. As a newcomer to the valley (I moved here in Nov 2021), I have been impressed by Adam’s compassionate, quiet, firm leadership. Whether it be at informal town halls, community information/listening sessions, or Board of Trustee meetings, I have observed that Adam’s demeanor is that of listening to the constituent and then crafting a win-win solution with community buy-in.
I appreciate his desire to represent the future of our valley and his understanding of the complex and immediate, midrange, and long-term issues that face the valley’s survival. As a small business owner, he understands the often competing forces on valuable resources. Most importantly, Adam is not afraid to admit that he doesn’t know everything and is willing to seek out the treasure trove of expertise and experience that resides in the San Luis Valley.Â
I have witnessed first hand his calm, probing demeanor and his desire and manifestation of inviting and requiring that all voices are heard. Adam is my choice for County Commissioner, District 1 and I invite you to join me by casting your ballot for Adam Kinney for county commissioner, District 1.
