I had the pleasure to attend the Saguache County Democratic Assembly last month. I normally would not call it a pleasure; in the last 12 years I have been there it has been a rather dry affair.
However, this year I witnessed something I had not seen before: young people, lots of them, getting involved in our local politics. They were there because they had a candidate for commissioner who they felt could represent them. Who was raising kids in Crestone, running a small business, and had a record of being involved in making our community better.
I believe Adam Kinney possesses the energy, vision, commitment and experience to bring diversity to the Saguache County board of commissioners as we face the inevitable changes in our county.
