Mandala Market to Real EstateĀ

By Staff

Desiree (Desi) Faraci announces collaboration with First Colorado Land Office (FCLO) based in Salida, Colorado as a Real Estate Associate Broker.  She will be conducting home and land transactions specializing in the Crestone region and Saguache County.  Additionally, Desi plans on providing property management services to Crestone and the Baca Grande Subdivision in a community that endures challenges with long-term rentals.

With a creative entrepreneurial spirit, Desi has always enjoyed exploring self-employment endeavors. At her 4th generation family Italian restaurant in New York, Desi learned how to run a business from an early age and realized entering the workforce in a traditional career was not her path.

From there, at 17 years old, she opened a retail beach shop in Georgia, then a mobile airbrush mural business, and later stumbled into a sign career in North Carolina. While she was living in North Carolina, Desi opened two art galleries and a commercial art consulting firm until 2006.

After the birth of her children, Desi and her husband, Greg, settled down into family life in Florida. That is where she built a world percussion facilitation business offering therapeutic drum circles to people with disabilities, juvenile detention centers, senior facilities and more. The diversity of self employment would not end there.

After living in Florida for many years, Desi and her family relocated to the San Luis Valley of Colorado. After three years, work fell through for her husband, Greg, in the potato research field, and that is what sparked the opening of Mandala Pizza. After a successful three years at the little pizza cabin in town and enduring the harsh realities of the Covid epidemic, Mandala Pizza moved to Mosca, CO and focused on wholesale pizza sales that sold across Colorado with Valley Roots Food Hub.

Later, they built a commercial kitchen in their residence locally and decided to close the wholesale division to work their food trailer during summer season and catering for Colorado College and local businesses including retreat centers. Last year, Desi decided to enter real estate school and at the turn of 2024, she became a licensed associate broker joining First Colorado Land Office. Expanding from her history as a local food service entrepreneur, Desi states, ā€œMy business, Mandala Market, will continue to offer catering services while growing as a real estate broker in the area. This is a great opportunity to fuse my business and people skills in a community where I have built a business, made meaningful connections, reside and raise my children.ā€

First Colorado Land Office (FCLO) has been helping people buy and sell homes in the Rocky Mountains since 1973 with two locations in Salida and a third in Buena Vista. FCLO delivers a tight team of highly qualified brokers who are continually upgrading their education in the field. Employing owner-broker, Jeff Post, encourages hard work and integrity for his associate brokers to facilitate clientsā€™ needs. Desi is thrilled to join their knowledgeable team and grow in this exciting field.
