To the voters of Saguache County:
I am writing this letter of support for Adam Kinney, candidate for Saguache County District I county commissioner.
I have been a life-long resident of Saguache County and served eight years as your county commissioner representing District III. I tried to represent all of Saguache CountyÂ
equally, realizing the various needs, prioritizing them fairly, and abiding by statutes and policies.
Having met with Mr. Kinney, I supported him in the recent county assembly as one of his delegates. Mr. Kinney has the experience and knows how government works, serving the Town of Crestone as one of the trustees. What Mr. Kinney will bring to Saguache County is transparency, a strong fiscal knowledge, and an open mind, with no hidden agendas.
He has assured me he will abide by the 52 state statutes that county commissioners must abide by and by county policies. With a strong fiscal knowledge, he will not spend funds as a feel-good endeavor, will maintain a balanced budget based on revenue versus expenditures, and not think that there is an endless supply of county funds.
