Haidakhandi Universal Ashram: February snows

By Ramloti

February has been a wintery month with fewer visitors and some much needed snow. We commemorated Shri Babaji’s Maha Samadhi (the day He left His body). It was Valentine’s Day, 1984 when He left this physical plane, and this year was the 40-year anniversary. His love and teachings still guide this Ashram and His devotees around the world.

On Friday, March 8 we will be celebrating Maha Shivaratri (the great night of Lord Shiva) with late night chanting. We will begin at 6 p.m. with aarati and chanting. At 7 p.m. we will do the first of four lingam pujas (the lingam represents Lord Shiva). We will then take an hour and a half break and reconvene at 9 p.m. for the second puja, continue chanting until the next puja at 11 p.m., and the final puja at 1 a.m. You are welcome to come for any or all of the celebration. Please call the Ashram at 719-256-4108 if you have any questions.

The New-Moon Fire Ceremony this month is on Sunday, March 10 at 11 a.m. and the Full-Moon Fire Ceremony is on Monday, March 25 at 11 a.m. Both are followed by chanting and a meal.

If you cannot attend in person, you may want to tune in to the livestream at the Haidakhandi Universal Ashram Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HaidakhandiUniversalAshram. It will be posted on the Ramloti Wood YouTube Channel by that evening.

You are invited to attend our daily fire ceremonies that happen whenever we do not have the large fire. They usually begin sometime between 9 and 11 a.m. Just call 719-256-4108 for the exact time for that day’s fire ceremony.

Looking ahead, Spring Navratri, the Divine Mother Festival, is from April 9 through April 17.

The Ashram and Temple are open daily from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. For the latest Ashram updates, refer to our newsletter on our website at www.Babajiashram.org or go to the Haidakhandi Universal Ashram Facebook page. There are also many excellent “Satsangs with Devotees” (people telling stories of Babaji), aaratis, readings, and chanting on the Ramloti Wood YouTube channel.

The Maha Lakshmi Shop is open daily from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. You can access many of our products online at http://mahalakshmishop.wazala.com. We are also happy to take photos of items and send them to you, as many of our items are one-of-a-kind and are not on the website. We appreciate your patronage of the Shop, as it is a major support of the Ashram.

We invite you to connect with us to learn more about the Ashram, Shri Babaji, and the Divine Mother at our website, www.babajiashram.org or give us a call at 719-256-4108 or email us at info@babajiashram.org. We love to hear from you.
