Kinney for commissioner

Editor’s note: The primary election is June 25. The Eagle will post results to The Crestone Eagle website as soon as they are available. This is the last set of endorsements received by press time presented in alternating endorsements. 

I am writing this letter to voice my full support for Adam Kinney in his endeavor to become Saguache County Commissioner for District 1. Having interacted with Adam on several occasions, it has been refreshing to see a bright, young man, full of energy and enthusiasm, seeking to help move Saguache County forward as a commissioner. 

Knowing that Adam has been involved in the Crestone town council for the past twenty years, he has knowledge not only of governmental functions, but also of the fiscal challenges that the county faces.  Adam is a great communicator, and more importantly, he is a great listener. 

I feel that Adam will be very transparent in his dealings with his constituents in District 1, as well as all citizens of Saguache County.

Having been the Sheriff of Saguache County for three terms, I understand the challenges that our county commissioners face. It is exciting to see new interest in our representation on the Saguache County Commission. 

Adam Kinney is up to the challenge, and I solicit your support for Adam’s endeavor to become Saguache County Commissioner from District 1.
